When it’s time to replace your roof
If your roof is between 18 and 25 years old, has lost more than a handful of shingles after the last storm, or you’re seeing daylight in the attic, you’re already on the clock. North Carolina’s freeze-thaw cycles, summer humidity, and the occasional pine branch from a passing storm punish even well-built roofs. The boring stuff — the underlayment, the flashing, the ventilation — is what makes the difference between a 15-year roof and a 30-year roof. Most homeowners don’t see any of it once the shingles are on. We install it like you can.

What to expect on install day
- Crew arrives between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. Tarps go down over landscaping, AC units, and any garden beds near the house.
- Tear-off and decking inspection — usually wrapped up by lunch on a typical home.
- New underlayment, flashing, and shingles go on in the afternoon.
- Most homes are completed in one to two days.
- Final magnetic sweep for nails, full cleanup, and a walkthrough with the homeowner before the crew leaves.
We don’t subcontract. The crew lead on your roof is a Mid Atlantic employee who’s been with us for years and trains every season. If something needs attention, you talk to the same person on day one and day fourteen.
